Late Check-Out
We are usually preparing for incoming guests and ask everyone to prepare for prompt departure at check-out time. However, the front desk may be able to arrange a late checkout, based on availability. Additional fees may apply.
Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Please be courteous to other guests around you.

Loud music or excessive noise is not allowed at any time.

Inconsiderate guests will be evicted from the campground.

Profanity or violence towards other guests or campground staff will result in immediate eviction.

Guests who are evicted for breaking any of the rules cited on this page will not receive a refund (neither full nor partial) for their stay.
Respect Our Wildlife
Please note! Sammie’s Campground is in a natural wildlife habitat area. There are coyotes, bears, mountain lions, birds of prey and reptiles. All guests should ensure pets and small children are supervised at all times. It’s also important to follow the trash disposal rules outlined below.
We also see a lot of Deer throughout the campground. Please do not feed or attempt to pet the Deer; Doe’s may be dangerous especially when fawns are present.
General Campground Rules

Guests are responsible for any damage or injury caused by themselves, their children, or any pets.

Guests assume any and all risks associated with the foregoing rule and agree that Sammie’s Campground will be compensated for any loss or damage to the property deemed the party’s responsibility.

Sammie’s Campground is not responsible for personal injuries or damage, loss, or theft of any personal property or vehicle.

We reserve the right to evict any person(s) who does not comply with the rules and policies.

All guests and visitors must check in and register with the office upon arrival.
-
All motorhomes, RVs, and travel trailers must be in good working order and respectable in appearance.

We reserve the right to refuse access to any guests whose vehicle is deemed to not meet upkeep and appearance standards.

Tent camping is permitted only in designated areas and will be assigned by the office at check in.

Tents are limited to a maximum of two per site and cost an additional $10 per tent, per night.

Total number of guests in any space or tent cannot exceed the maximum capacity for that site.

Visitors are welcome at guest campsites between the hours of 9 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Visitors are not permitted to stay overnight. All visitors are required to leave by 10:00 p.m.

No overnight parking or storage of trailers, boats, jet skis, or utility trailers is allowed.

Propane grills and propane fire pits are allowed.
-
Blow-up mattresses, sleeping bags, and cots are not allowed outside.

Maintenance on RVs or any other vehicles on the property is not allowed.

Washing RVs or any other vehicles on property is not allowed.

The use of any paint products or chemicals is prohibited.

Clotheslines are not allowed.

Guests may not hang any items from the trees.
-
All sites are to be kept neat and clean for the duration of your stay.

Only one (1) RV and a maximum of two (2) other vehicles are allowed at each site unless stated otherwise.

DO NOT leave trash out overnight. It will attract bears. All trash is to be disposed of in the dumpster located on the grounds. DO NOT leave trash outside of receptacles for any period of time. If you require assistance with the dumpster, please call the office.

Boats, boat trailers, cargo trailers, or car dollies are not allowed on site. Storage is available for a fee.

Drones or other remote-controlled machines may not be used at any time on the property.
Safety & Security Policies

The use of firearms of any kind is PROHIBITED.

The use of archery, paintball, slingshots or air guns is PROHIBITED.

Fireworks of any kind are PROHIBITED.
-
Use of illegal drugs is PROHIBITED.
-
Obnoxious behavior of ANY kind is PROHIBITED.
-
Speed limit on the property is 5 mph.
-
Motorcycles must be at an idling speed when traveling through the campground.

Children under 14 years of age must always be accompanied by an adult in the bathhouse.

At no time may a vehicle block any portion of roadway.

Vehicles may park in designated spaces only. Parking on the grass is prohibited.

Only persons with a valid driver’s license may operate a motor vehicle in the campground, including golf carts, scooters, etc.

Vandalism of any kind by any guest, regardless of age, may result in eviction from the campground.

Management is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged articles. Please keep your valuables locked up.

Report any problems with your site to the main office immediately.

We adhere to and maintain all state, county, and local laws on property. The Town of La Veta does not allow ATV’s on municipal roads and we ask our guests to please limit the use of ATV’s within the campgrounds to a minimum of getting said vehicles ready for travel.
Pet Policy

We reserve the right to refuse any guest whose pet we deem out of control or at risk of threatening the rest and safety of campground staff or guests.

Pets must be kept on a leash under the control of someone who has all animals under control at all times.

There is a three-pet limit at each site.
-
No exotic or oversized pets are allowed. This includes all reptiles and large birds.

Pets may not be left outside unattended.
-
Guests are responsible to clean up after their pets and dispose of their waste promptly.

Guests should carry proof of all current vaccinations.
-
Pets are prohibited in on-site buildings and amenity areas.

Sammie’s Campground is not responsible for any injury or damage caused by pet(s). Owners/guests will be held accountable for any injury or damage caused by pet(s).

Service animals may accompany a disabled person without any proof of disability or certification for the service animal.
